Case Study: Growth Hacking an Online Job Site

In November 2017, we were approached by STEM careers to work with the internal marketing team to devise a marketing strategy for the upcoming launch of the site. After an initial meeting, it was evident that the internal team of marketers were more than capable of creating and implementing an effective marketing campaign. Together, we agreed that Management Chief would be better deployed as a “Growth Hacker” to complement the more formal marketing campaign.

The Brief:

Devise a growth plan to maximise the reach of STEM careers, creating as much brand awareness as possible to penetrate the market from initial launch.

The Strategy: 

Management Chief devised a process of rapid experimentation across the STEM careers marketing funnel, product development, sales funnel and value proposition to identify the most effective strategy to grow the user base and customer base of STEM careers.

The Outcome:

User adoption of STEM careers increased by 400%. Customer acquisition has increased by 200%, with stage two of recommendations yet to be implemented. STEM careers is quickly becoming the primary source of hiring specialised professionals within their target market; with integration within a number of global recruitment software companies validating the success of the site and growth strategy.
